Exceeding Expectations: Exceed Learning Partnership Celebrates Strong 2026 Key Stage 2 Results

Exceed Learning Partnership is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Year 6 pupils in the 2026 Key Stage 2 SATs.
Across our trust as a whole, pupils have delivered an outstanding set of outcomes. Despite national challenges and the ongoing legacy of early-years disruption experienced during the pandemic by this cohort, Exceed Learning Partnership has demonstrated significant year-on-year growth and comfortably outperformed national benchmarks across all core subjects.
Outperforming National Benchmarks
Nationally, 63% of Year 6 pupils met the expected standard in combined Reading, Writing, and Maths in 2026. At Exceed Learning Partnership, 75.2% of pupils reached this benchmark which is a remarkable 12.2% higher than the national average.
This figure represents a strong 4.6% increase from our trust's 70.5% combined outcome in 2024/2025, highlighting a continuous upward trajectory of academic improvement across the trust. Furthermore, 10.7% of pupils achieved Greater Depth across all three combined subjects.
Our pupils achieved progress and strong attainment across every core subject area:
Our pupils achieved exceptional outcomes across every core subject. In Mathematics, 86.1% of pupils met the expected standard, representing a 4.9% increase on 2024/2025 and placing the Trust well above the national average of 75%. Almost a third of pupils (31.7%) also achieved Greater Depth, contributing to an average scaled score of 106.42. In Reading, 84.0% of pupils reached the expected standard, outperforming the national average of 75%, while 36.7% achieved Greater Depth, resulting in an average scaled score of 107.15.
Writing continued this strong performance, with 83.5% of pupils meeting the expected standard—an impressive 4.9% increase on the previous year and over ten percentage points above the national figure of 73%. Additionally, 20.5% of pupils achieved Greater Depth, an increase of 2.0% year-on-year. In Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS), 83.5% of pupils met the expected standard, up 5.7% from 2024/2025 and comfortably exceeding the national average of 74%, with the Trust achieving an average scaled score of 107.44.
Speaking about the results, CEO Beryce Nixon OBE added "These results are a wonderful reflection of what can be achieved when high expectations, expert teaching and a relentless commitment to every child come together. I am incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils, who have demonstrated resilience, determination and ambition throughout their primary education, and of the dedicated colleagues and families who have supported them every step of the way."
