Exceed Institute of Education

At the Institute of Education, we believe that great teaching changes lives — and that the foundation of great teaching is transformative professional learning.

Guided by our values — Include, Inspire, Integrity, and Exceed — we see professional development as a shared journey. Whether you join us for a one-off workshop or become part of an ongoing professional network, our aim is to ensure every education professional — from classroom assistants to senior leaders — can grow together in their knowledge, skills, and practice.

Our high-quality programmes are led by experienced school improvement leaders, including National Leaders of Education and former Ofsted Leads. They harness the power of collaboration, the latest research, and DfE guidance to deliver meaningful impact. In addition to these programmes, we provide bespoke school improvement support for both primary and secondary settings, ensuring each school benefits from tailored expertise and strategies that meet its unique context. When you join one of our conferences, workshops or networks, you will benefit from:

  • Dedicated space for fresh thinking and innovation.

  • Research-informed resources and ‘best-bet’ strategies.

  • A community that fosters collaboration and co-production.

  • Peer support that improves wellbeing and builds resilience.

Whether you’re looking to refine your pedagogy, connect with like-minded professionals, or explore innovative approaches, the Exceed Institute of Education is here to support you.

Take a look at our brochure for more information on our workshops and email  [email protected] to make an enquiry or to book your place.

Professional Learning Brochure

Our Professional Learning Brochure for 2025/26 includes workshops, discussion forums and professional learning networks covering a wide range of topics from curriculum, pedagogy and staff wellbeing. We also offer a bespoke school improvement offer for both primary and secondary settings, with our most experienced leaders.  Take a look at our brochure and get in touch to secure your place or to find out more about how we can tailor our support to meet your needs.

Training Workshops

Our Workshops bring educators together to share ideas, develop practice, and spark innovation. Led by specialists and experienced leaders, these events focus on practical, high-impact strategies you can apply immediately in your own setting, while connecting you with peers across the profession.

Professional Learning Networks

Join our Curriculum Networks to strengthen your subject expertise, enhance your teaching practice, and discover new approaches to curriculum development. Guided by experienced school improvement leaders, these sessions offer hands-on strategies, opportunities for collaborative discussion, and a supportive professional community to help you thrive in your classroom.

Discussion Forums

Our primary school forums give participants the opportunity to examine both local and national educational trends, tackle current challenges, and share successful practices. These sessions are structured as open discussions, allowing staff to collaborate, exchange ideas, and support one another. They create a safe, constructive space to reflect, decompress, and work together — enhancing professional wellbeing and strengthening a sense of community.

School Improvement Bespoke Support

Our Bespoke Support service offers tailored, high-impact school improvement guidance from senior leaders with extensive experience in today’s educational landscape. With two National Leaders of Education and two former Ofsted Leads within our Trust, we bring exceptional expertise to guide your school’s development.

Whether you’re looking for focused support in a particular subject, leadership development, or a whole-school improvement strategy, we work alongside you in true partnership. Every plan is carefully crafted to meet the specific needs of your school, delivering practical, evidence-based strategies that drive measurable and sustainable improvements for staff, pupils, and the wider school community.
