Our Approach to SEND

Welcome to the Exceed Learning Partnership’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) webpage.

Here at Exceed we are passionate about our approaches to meeting the needs of all our young people. We are especially aware of the increase in SEND within new cohorts and the diverse nature of those SEND across all our trust schools. We are therefore working strategically to support all academies to provide nurturing and inclusive environments, knowledgeable staff who are further trained to meet needs within the mainstream classroom and SENCos who feel supported within their role. As the government’s SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan is rolled out and Local Authority reform takes effect, we look to a time when systems are digitised, procedures and timelines make everyone accountable and timely resourcing enables our schools to provide the right support at the right time. Throughout, we will ensure the pupils' wishes and feelings and those of their family, remain a priority, and their outcomes, academic or pastoral, are a true measure of what they can hope to achieve. We will remain constant in our pursuit of excellence in this practice.
