Carr Lodge Academy

Welcome to Carr Lodge Academy, a new build academy built within Woodfield Plantation- which first opened its doors to pupils in September 2015. Since then the academy has blossomed into a 2 form entry primary school taking pupils between the ages of 3-11.  

All the children and adults at Carr Lodge are so proud of our academy. The academy is at the heart of the community and has grown as the community grows with further housing developments surrounding it.  

Pupils and staff benefit from learning within a spacious building with rich learning environments indoors and outdoors. Within Foundation Stage pupils receive an excellent start to their learning journeys with our Forest School and immersive classrooms and provision. Throughout the academy-both in and out of the classrooms- learning spaces have been created to maximise all opportunities for children to learn and develop, from our ‘reading nooks’ to our brand-new purpose built sensory room and intervention spaces. 

Outside, the grounds provide wonderful opportunities for sporting and environmental activities, where the children can grow and flourish  learning skills for life.
