Exceed Learning Partnership Celebrates Outstanding Governance at Awards Event

25 November 2025

Exceed Learning Partnership hosted its first ever Governance Celebration and Awards Event on bringing together Directors, Governors, leaders and invited guests from across the Trust to honour excellence in governance.

The afternoon began with refreshments and networking before a warm welcome from CEO Beryce Nixon OBE and Chair of Directors Pat Hagan MBE DL, who highlighted the pivotal role governance plays in shaping high-quality education across all academies.

A series of professional workshops followed, including sessions on SEND and Inclusion, the new Ofsted Inspection Framework, governor monitoring, and safeguarding. These were delivered by experts from across the Trust and partners such as Mark Blois of Browne Jacobson, providing governors with valuable tools and knowledge to strengthen their practice.

Later in the afternoon, Deputy CEO Andy Hibbitt officially introduced the Exceed Assure Quality Assurance Dashboard, a new digital approach to monitoring excellence across the Trust.

The event concluded with the Trust Governance Awards Ceremony 2025, recognising individuals who exemplify Exceed’s values of Integrity, Inspire, Exceed and Include. Winners and highly commended governors were celebrated for their exceptional commitment, leadership and positive impact on pupils, families and academy communities. Multiple CEO Awards were also presented to honour outstanding governance and exceptional service across the Trust. A list of those who received awards can be found below.

The celebration closed with a shared dinner and words of thanks to all governors for their unwavering dedication. Their expertise and commitment continue to drive the Trust’s mission of every child, every chance, every day.
