Students at Hall Cross Academy are celebrating an incredible set of GCSE results this year, with achievements across a wide range of subjects and inspiring destinations that reflect both academic excellence and individual passions.
Among the top achievers, Lola Nuttal achieved a clean sweep of Grade 9s - an absolutely astounding achievement, while Shifa Ismail secured seven Grade 9s and two Grade 8s. Devon Farthing also excelled with eight Grade 9s and a Grade 7, Clara Nan celebrated seven Grade 9s and two Grade 8s and Will Feris achieved three Grade 9s and five Grade 8s. These remarkable achievements are a credit to their hard work and set an inspiring example for the whole school community.
Other students have combined impressive academic results with exciting next steps. Maia Pugliese, who achieved a Grade 8 in Dance and a 7 in Photography, will be pursuing her passion professionally at The Hammond in Chester as she goes on to study a Level 6 Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance. Kieran Bridges will be leaving to study Animal Care and Kiera-Louise Nickson, with strong determination, is set to begin a career in Hairdressing at Oracle. Creativity has shone through this year too, with Holly Sanderson achieving top marks in Art (Grade 9) alongside strong results in English Literature, Humanities and Music.
The academy is also proud of students who have shown remarkable resilience and commitment. Aaron Ahmed, in particular, has demonstrated determination and perseverance throughout the year, and will be moving on to study Mechanical Engineering at Doncaster College. Jacob Perkins is progressing into Carpentry and Joinery and Oliver Oleszczuk will take his next steps into Electrical Installation at Doncaster College.
Principal Simon Swain said “We are incredibly proud of our students’ GCSE results. Their hard work has paid off, and it’s wonderful to see them moving on to such a wide range of exciting next steps”.
Staff at Hall Cross Academy praised the Class of 2025 not only for their academic results but also for their ambition and readiness to take on the next stage of their journey, whether continuing at Hall Cross Sixth Form or pursuing specialist training and apprenticeships.
