Celebrating New Appointments Within Our Central Team

13 January 2026

Exceed Learning Partnership is delighted to announce a number of exciting role changes within our Central Team, further strengthening our capacity to support our academies, staff and communities across the Trust.

We proudly congratulate Rebecca Austwick, appointed Director of Education and Inclusion; Matt Copestick, appointed Head of Safeguarding, Behaviour and Attendance; Rachel Hodgson, appointed Head of Research and Professional Development and Victoria Brewster, appointed Academy Improvement and Operations Lead.

Each of these changes bring exceptional expertise, strategic insight and a deep commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people. Their collective experience will play a vital role in advancing School Improvement, ensuring high-quality education, inclusive practice, strong safeguarding, and effective operational leadership across all Exceed academies.

In her new role, Rebecca Austwick will continue to shape our inclusive education strategy and drive excellence in teaching, learning and inclusion, ensuring every child thrives and succeeds. Matt Copestick will continue to oversee Trust-wide safeguarding as well as behaviour and attendance; strengthening our culture of care, safety and wellbeing.

Rachel Hodgson will lead our evidence-informed approach to professional learning, supporting staff development and embedding research-led practice across our Trust. Meanwhile, Victoria Brewster will move over from Governance in order to support school improvement and operational leadership, enhancing systems, processes and collaboration to benefit pupils and staff.

These appointments reflect Exceed’s continued commitment to building strong leadership, investing in our people and ensuring the very best provision for our academies and wider communities.

We congratulate Rebecca, Matt, Rachel and Victoria and look forward to the positive impact they will continue to make in their new roles.
